The UPA-55 Amplifier provides extra power to the URC-200 or URC-200 (V2) Line-of-Sight (LOS) Radio to meet specific mission needs. While offering excellent harmonic and spurious frequency rejection with an extremely low noise floor, the UPA-55 operates in the most challenging LOS environments on land, in the air, and at sea. Dependable and user-friendly, the UPA-55 Power Amplifier is an essential accessory to the URC-200 or URC-200 (V2) LOS Radio for faster installation and longer product life.

General Dynamics proudly introduces a new accessory to the URC-200 Line-of-Sight (LOS) family of radios: the UPA-55 Power Amplifier. The UPA-55 provides the same function as the UPA-50, allows for full control from the front of the unit, and is rugged and easy to use in challenging environments. It also includes the following new benefits:
- Broadcasts 25 or 50 Watts in AM or FM
- Operates at full power into a 4:1 VSWR
Designed to provide extra power to the URC-200 LOS Series of radios, both the UPA-50 and UPA-55 are lightweight and user-friendly, with a demonstrated Mean-Time-Between-Failure (MTBF) averaging 10,000 hours. The low-cost UPA-55 also allows for faster installation and longer product life of the URC-200 series family of LOS radios.
