Cybersecurity Toolkit (CSTK) & Information Assurance (IA)
Progeny Systems is a business area within General Dynamics Mission Systems. Progeny Systems has been providing Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Solutions to U.S. Navy Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) for more than 20 years. Additionally, in recent years, Progeny Systems has deployed these solutions to U.S. Navy Surface Combatants equipped with AEGIS and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) combat systems.
Common Architecture & Framework
These cybersecurity solutions use a common architecture and framework that provides a centrally managed suite of security applications and services. These services satisfy many Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity technical controls levied by Authorizing Officials for both GENSER (TOP SECRET and below) and TOP SECRET sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) classification designations.
Centralized Approach
Our Cybersecurity services employ a manager/client model to provide a wide spectrum of cybersecurity capabilities for the tactical network. A centrally located application manager provides the operator control and display for the Cybersecurity Clients distributed and integrated into the various tactical hosts. Centralized control and management help relieve the burden and effort on the operator for these Cybersecurity capabilities. These Cybersecurity Services meet the majority of the RMF requirements for their tactical systems.
Cybersecurity for Submarines
Our Cybersecurity subsystem resides within the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System, a large, complex integrated combat system installed on all U.S. Navy submarines. Our Cybersecurity services are tailored and employed to counter current cyber threats while enabling all the submarine tactical systems (SWFTS) to successfully conduct their critical missions.
