Submarine Systems
Silent. Stealthy. Smarter.
Every submarine in the U.S. Navy's fleet relies on our technology to sense underwater threats, intelligently classify data and launch guided weapons.
General Dynamics Mission Systems builds state-of-the-art weapon systems, combat control systems, sonar systems and cybersecurity systems for Virginia-class, Ohio-class and Columbia-class submarines.
Submarine Combat Control Systems
We support the AN/BYG-1 combat system which integrates the Tactical Control System (TCS), Payload Control System (PCS), Information Assurance (IA), and tactical network subsystems for every submarine in the U.S. and Australian Navies.
Submarine Launchers & Simulators
Our launchers are built to preset, launch, and control weapons and unmanned vehicles both in and out of the water. Our software also provides operators with training, simulation, electronic manuals, and data recording of launch events.
Strategic Weapon Systems
We have designed, produced, installed and sustained every version of the Fire Control System for Polaris, Poseidon, Trident I and Trident II Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM).
Submarine Testing & Evaluation
Our Submarine Test & Evaluation Team supports rigorous dockside and at-sea testing in support of Integrated Combat System Certification to ensure maximum operational readiness of the U.S. Navy's submarine fleet.
Secured: Protecting Against Underwater Cyber Threats
Our cybersecurity subsystem resides within the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System, a large, complex integrated combat system installed on all U.S. Navy submarines. Our cybersecurity solutions are tailored to counter current cyber threats while enabling the submarine tactical systems to successfully conduct the mission.
Torpedo Guidance & Control Systems
We specialize in the design, testing, and production of the latest torpedo guidance and control systems which provide the warfighter with advanced capabilities in target detection, acquisition, and prosecution.
SONAR Systems & Sensors
Our advanced SONAR and Sensor technologies enable active and passive system capabilities including target and weapon tracking, underwater communication and data collection.
