Software Development Engineer

Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for software development on an enterprise services team. This team performs technical support of system software products with problem resolution, design, development, and testing along with operational integration and user support.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:

• Software engineering and development with JAVE/JEE
• Familiarity with JAVA foundation classes and toolkits
• Experience and knowledge of basic software practices

 What sets you apart:  

• Use of some common software development and management tools such as GitLab, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, and Eclipse
• Experience with the development of Command and Control applications
• Experience with Risk Management Framework, STIGs, Fortify, SonarQube mitigations
• Any experience with automated test and pipeline development practices

Workplace Options:

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a DoD 8570 Lvl II certification within 60d of start.

While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS team in Colorado Springs.

Target salary range: USD $112,829.60/Yr. - USD $125,170.40/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
