Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a mechanical engineer for Orca, you’ll be a member a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical subsea components and systems.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: 

• Extensive experience with Mechanical Design.
• Extensive experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo.
• Experience with performing Analysis of Mechanical Designs

What sets you apart:

• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools (Solidworks or Creo) to create mechanical models and drawings
• Strong proficiency with Analysis tools (Ansys, Matlab) to perform structual, shock and vibration analyses 
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects
• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals

Target salary range: USD $126,701.00/Yr. - USD $132,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
