Now delivering classified communications to the tactical edge, the TACLANE®-Nano provides end-to-end HAIPE® encryption in the smallest, lightest and most power-efficient form factor, strengthening warfighter capabilities in operational settings
FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Mission Systems’ new TACLANE- Nano (KG-175N) network encryptor is now certified by the National Security Agency (NSA) to secure voice, video and data information classified Top Secret/SCI and below traversing public and private IP networks. This NSA certification recognizes and validates the TACLANE-Nano’s capability to protect the most critical data communications through government networks and national security systems worldwide at any time.
“General Dynamics is committed to advancing our TACLANE portfolio to address our customers’ unique mission needs from enterprise to edge,” said Brian Morrison, vice president of the Cyber Systems line of business for General Dynamics Mission Systems. “This certification makes TACLANE Type 1 encryption available in a ruggedized low SWaP form factor to bring our proven data security to the tactical edge of the battlefield.”
Recognizing user needs for increased throughput in a smaller footprint, the TACLANE-Nano’s greater than 100 Mb/s aggregate throughput is delivered through a Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C) optimized form factor ruggedized to withstand the rigors of a mobile environment, from backpack to flyaway kit to deployable systems. The TACLANE-Nano easily integrates into deployable SATCOM and baseband communication systems available today. Mobile applications include dismounted tactical forward deployment, unmanned/manned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, covert and special operations.
Other unique features include Agile TCP Performance Enhancing Proxy (PEP) for improved performance in disadvantaged networks. As the newest member of the TACLANE portfolio, the TACLANE-Nano supports crypto modernization efforts such as Advanced Cryptographic Capabilities (ACC) compliance, Over The Network Keying (OTNK) and is a suitable replacement for legacy and link encryptors.
