ADCOM911 Public Safety Broadband Network

The First Operational FirstNet Band Class 14 Public Safety 4G LTE Network

General Dynamics Mission Systems, in partnership with the Adams County Communications Center in Colorado, launched the ADCOM911 Public Safety Broadband Network on June 6, 2014. This first-in-the-nation operational FirstNet Band Class 14 public safety network uses our 4G LTE technology to provide high speed communications for first responders.

The public safety network in Adams County also known as ADCOM911 is a pioneering system that allows firefighters, law enforcement, first responders and emergency management coordinators to communicate with one another in real time and share information across voice, video, data, text and chat applications. The ADCOM911 public safety broadband network uses spectrum sanctioned by FirstNet - the nationwide broadband communications network dedicated solely to public safety.

FirstNet’s Band Class 14 network will completely transform the way First Responders address Public Safety concerns throughout the nation. The way firefighters battle wildfires, the way our police respond to crimes or monitor large-scale events, and the way EMS staff treat patients at the scene and en route to medical facilities. All first responders including Police, Fire, EMS and National Guard will be able to coordinate together for the first time on a single dedicated network.
