Airborne Systems
The Brains & Brawn Inside The World's Most Sophisticated Aircraft
From airborne computers that process and display mission data in the cockpit, to crypto products for identifying friendly aircraft, and weapon control systems that enable the launch and control of precision guided weapons, we work to ensure the world's most advanced aircraft maintain air superiority and information dominance.
Airborne Mission Computers
Our Advanced Mission Computer processes mission data and serves as the nerve center for the U.S. Navy’s F/A -18 Super Hornet.
Featured Program: The F/A-18 Super Hornet
On board the F/A-18 Super Hornet is a pair of General Dynamics’ Advanced Mission Computers (AMC).
From advanced fiber optics to the heads-up displays and sensors, almost everything in the cockpit is managed by the AMC.
The latest version of the AMC will support the F/A-18 Block III’s advanced cockpit system, which includes a touchscreen display that will enable the pilot to better see and track long-range targets.
Radomes and Aircraft Structures
From radomes to wing and engine structures, we design and manufacture high performance, cost effective solutions for the most advanced military and commercial aircraft.
Digital Stores Management System
Our Digital Stores Management System (DSMS) is a weapons control system onboard the P-3 Orion aircraft which enables the launch and control of modern precision guided weapons.
As a leading systems integrator, we have designed DSMS with an eye toward future technology improvements that will continue to provide maritime patrol aircraft with the overall tactical advantage in the maritime environment.
Identification Friend Or Foe (IFF) Crypto Systems
As a leading supplier of cryptography for avionics systems, we have more than 40 years of Type 1 system development experience on customer platforms.
