Whether on sea, land, or in the skies above, our SATCOM-On-the-Move® (SOTM) antennas provide secure voice, video, and data satellite communications to our warfighters, even in the most rugged conditions.
Our lightweight, modular design operates over a wide range of SATCOM networks enabling communications for military vehicles in motion. The SOTM family provides reliable X, Ku, and X-band satellite communications, and comes in three different form factors fitted for ground vehicles, maritime vessels, and military aircraft.
Our latest M17-27A Airborne Antenna recently completed qualification testing and will be used aboard GA-ASI’s SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian next-generation UAVs. General Dynamics Mission Systems vice president of RF Systems, Ryan Orth discussed the impact of this new antenna:
“The 17-27A SATCOM-on-the-Move antenna is the latest in our line of secure and reliable, on-the-move communications for the most challenging operational environments where there is limited or no access to line-of-sight networks. By utilizing widely available commercial Ku-band satellite networks, these terminals significantly increase UAV operational flexibility and range.”
General Dynamics Mission Systems has a long legacy of providing secure, beyond-line-of-sight communications to our warfighter. To learn more about SOTM family of products please visit here.
