Name change reflects access to an expanded portfolio of products and services under General Dynamics Mission Systems and reinforces the company's commitment to Canada

OTTAWA, Ontario - General Dynamics Canada has announced a name change to General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada to better reflect its access to the products and technologies within the General Dynamics Mission Systems portfolio.

General Dynamics formed the Mission Systems business unit from the combined resources of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and General Dynamics C4 Systems, says David Ibbetson General Manager for General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada. The restructuring offers customers a more robust portfolio of products, services and solutions to help them successfully execute their missions. Our name change to General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada reflects our position within this powerhouse, and our commitment to delivering these capabilities to the soldiers, sailors, airmen, cyber analysts, law enforcement and first responders here in Canada and around the world.

The company's team of Canadian engineers, software designers and manufacturing technologists will have access to more General Dynamics products and capabilities, under one roof. General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada will be better positioned to expand its portfolio of airborne mission systems, communications systems, Vetronics solutions, displays, advanced acoustic signal processors and anti-submarine warfare systems and products, as well as pull through advance technology to meet the expectations articulated in Canada's Defence Procurement Strategy.
