VA Class Submarine 10 DVIDS

FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Mission Systems’ Progeny Systems announced today that it was awarded a $24,472,588 cost-plus-fixed fee and cost only contract for engineering and technical support including software development, hardware and software integration on U.S. Navy submarines. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $120,710,357. Work will be performed primarily in Manassas, Va. and Middletown, R.I.

“Progeny Systems has many years of experience supporting the Navy. This contract will provide the Navy with improved non-propulsion electronics systems capabilities. The Progeny Systems team also offers software and hardware platforms for combat systems, torpedoes, sonar, cybersecurity, electronic warfare and mission readiness.
