FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics announced today the addition of the KOV-28 Open Systems Architecture (OSA) crypto module to its space and aviation encryption portfolio. Certified by the National Security Agency (NSA), the KOV-28 OSA crypto module secures communication channels across contested environments on a variety of platforms.

The KOV-28 OSA cryptographic module is capable of securing a variety of applications, including:

- Mobile User Objective System (MUOS)
- Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF)
- Link 16
- Low-Probability-of-Intercept (LPI) Data Links
- Navigation
- Data at Rest
The KOV-28 OSA crypto module is built with standards specific to rugged, military applications:
- Compact 3U form factor
- VPX high-speed connectors
- DS-101 asynchronous serial protocol
- Dual red and black Gigabit Ethernet and Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) system control
