Systems Engineer Entry Level

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Key Responsibilities:

• Support systems engineering activities for submarine combat system products, including requirements management and documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, and cyber-security engineers
• Assist with requirements traceability, design reviews, and technical communication to development teams
• Participate in agile team activities and help ensure system design requirements are properly addressed

• Coursework in systems engineering, naval engineering, or defense applications
• Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, Jama) or Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or systems modeling tools (MagicDraw, Cameo)
• Internship or senior design project experience in systems engineering or related technical field
• Understanding of software development processes or cyber-security principles

Target salary range: USD $77,843.00/Yr. - USD $86,358.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
