FAIRFAX, Va – General Dynamics Mission Systems’ team in Dedham, Massachusetts was recently recognized by MassEcon as a Team Massachusetts Impact Award winner for their contributions to the Massachusetts economy.

General Dynamics Mission Systems earned MassEcon’s bronze honors for the Greater Boston region, one of 14 awards announced by the state’s non-profit alliance dedicated to the growth of economic development within Massachusetts. The nearly 350 employees assigned to General Dynamics Mission Systems’ Dedham facility support the company’s Cyber and Maritime and Strategic Systems lines of business.

General Dynamics Mission Systems was recognized for the capital improvements made in the company’s Dedham facility. Completed in September 2021, the company invested $9.6 million in its 140,000 square-foot location in Dedham, renovating 19,000 square feet of existing space and building 18,000 square feet of new space. As a result of the renovation and expansion, the company added 45 jobs through acquisition of new contracts.

Investing in our Dedham, Massachusetts, facility is a result of growth fueled by recent contract awards from defense and intelligence customers who perform critical missions for national security. Representatives from General Dynamics Mission Systems’ Dedham facility will join their fellow awardees at an award ceremony at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts on April 7.
