A centralized location opening by June will accommodate the increasing demand for advanced position, navigation, and timing products by military, first responders and wireless communications providers.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – GPS Source, Inc. (GPS Source), a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Mission Systems, will open a new 18,500 square-foot engineering and manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the second quarter of 2019. The more than 100 person capacity space will consolidate engineering, research and development, manufacturing, shipping and receiving, administration, management, program management, finance, sales, and marketing in one location while providing added space for expansion. The facility will incorporate natural lighting and thoughtfully designed ergonomic work spaces, a configurable conference/classroom/presentation center, and engineering development and test laboratories.
“This new facility will play a key role in our ongoing growth. Over the next five years, our goal is to become a primary provider of precision location and timing solutions for the U.S. military and related customers,” said GPS Source president Robert Horton. “To accomplish this, we need to attract highly skilled engineers, software developers and program managers.”
