General Dynamics C4 Systems Trusted Network Environment (TNE) version 11 Cyber is now approved by the U.S. government to operate on classified government networks using the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 enterprise platform. TNE version 11 provides a one-window interface that reduces the complexity of navigating through various classified file systems, email and other cross-domain networks and environments. Version 11 is enhanced with General Dynamics PitBull commercial off-the-shelf security software that further hardens the multilevel security function of the TNE software while maintaining the ease-of-use and familiarity of a Microsoft Windows-like computing environment.

Speaking from General Dynamics Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center in Annapolis Junction, Bill Ross, vice president of Federal Systems and Cyber Solutions for General Dynamics C4 Systems, said, "this government approval enables a larger community of defense and intelligence personnel, those working on Linux systems, to have greater agility when working with multiple levels of security within different operating domains."

Using TNE, military and government customers can share sensitive information across security boundaries from a single shared network. This reduces cyber operating and maintenance costs and improves operational flexibility. TNE also secures cloud-based systems operating at multiple security levels.

General Dynamics TNE is a cyber information-sharing solution that, with the addition of PitBull security, provides military and government customers improved security and access to classified data at various security levels from a single enterprise environment based on a user's security credentials and access privileges. Advanced data-labeling technology separates classified and unclassified data so users can only see what their individual security profiles allow, without visibility into other data files, applications or users. TNE also enables multi-level web services and multi-level chat capabilities so users on different network domains can share the same chat room.
