Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred,

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:


As a mechanical engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems, Undersea Mission Solutions, you’ll be a member of and may lead a cross functional team responsible for the development of electronic and mechanical packaging design, and validation, including: structural and thermal analysis, shock and vibration, and design for manufacturability.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:

Working knowledge of computer aided analysis tools (thermal, CFD, structural), such as Ansys;

Working knowledge of computer aided design tools (3D, 2D, layout), such as Creo;

Experience with small form factor, high power electromechanical elements;

Self-starting, detail-focused, problem solver;

Experience with high-pressure applications, including sealing technologies.

Target salary range: USD $90,833.00/Yr. - USD $100,767.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
