Amy Johnson is vice president and general manager of the Space, Cyber and Intelligence Systems line of business for General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics. She brings more than 25 years of military communications systems experience, technical innovation and mission-first philosophy to lead this organization to provide an asymmetric advantage for national security customers and allied partners through the integrated portfolio of resilience and adaptable cyber, space and intelligence capabilities and products.
Prior to this role, Johnson served as deputy general manager of the Land & Air Systems line of business and vice president of the Defense Electronics business area where she was responsible for integrating market-leading C5ISR technologies into ground and aviation platforms while also leading a defense electronics business focused on bringing unique board level solutions to market through commercial partner distribution channels. She is also responsible for tactical network and ground vehicle integration and COTS computing and networking equipment for tactical operations.
Previously, Johnson served as the vice president of Platform Security Products for the Cyber Systems line of business of General Dynamics Mission Systems. In this role, she led a business focused on advancing the cyber resilience of mission critical platforms through the development of market-leading security solutions. The portfolio includes certified Cross Domain, Data at Rest encryption and Multilevel Security Solutions for a variety of environments, to include cloud based deployments. Before, Johnson led business development for the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) segment of the Strategic Systems business unit at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
Johnson holds a Master’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Stonehill College. She is an active member of Women in Defense (NDIA), the Society of Women Engineers, AFCEA, Women in AFCEA, AFA, Girls Who Code, and the Hanscom Representatives Association (HRA). Johnson is Board Member of Stonehill College’s Engineering Industry Advisory Board.
