Introducing the new Cineflex ULTRA Interchangeable Camera System

General Dynamics Global Imaging Technologies introduces the Cineflex ULTRA compact camera system that can now be modified to use different cameras and lenses while on location. Weighing less than 100 pounds, the Cineflex ULTRA field-interchangeable’ camera system will help keep tight production schedules on time and on budget. The new Cineflex ULTRA field-interchangeable camera system accommodates RED, ARRI and Sony cameras and cinema lenses by Canon, Fujinon and Angenieux.

“With this new capability producers will have the flexibility they need to deliver blockbuster movies, documentaries, high-profile sporting events, event broadcast news using the Cineflex ULTRA camera system,” said Chris Marzilli, president of General Dynamics Mission Systems.

“Holding down production cost is a top consideration in bringing a script to life or delivering minute-by-minute coverage of a world-class athletic competition,” said Mike DiBiase, a vice president of General Dynamics Mission Systems. “The Cineflex ULTRA fast-swap camera system can reduce those costs by replacing multiple, high-cost camera systems.”

The Cineflex family of high-definition camera systems includes the high-performance gyro-stabilized camera and components used by filmmakers, cinematographers and electronic newsgathering organizations worldwide. The company also provides post-production GEO+ software to reduce the time and cost of editing live video into computer generated imagery (CGI). GEO+ helps streamline and simplify post-production by layering location-specific metadata onto the raw video to seamlessly synchronize Cineflex video with CGI. More information about Cineflex camera systems is available at www.cineflex.com.

Cineflex camera systems are delivered by GD Global Imaging Technologies, part of General Dynamics Mission Systems. General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) combined the resources of Advanced Information Systems and C4 Systems as “General Dynamics Mission Systems” on January 1, 2015.
