Certified for both JTRS HMS and AMF radios, the AIM II cryptographic module provides stringent protection of voice and data communications using less power.
The AIM II programmable cryptographic module by General Dynamics C4 Systems was recently certified by the National Security Agency (NSA) to secure classified information up to and including Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack and Small Form Fit (HMS) and Airborne Maritime Fixed (AMF) radios. The AIM II module is an integral component of the JTRS Manpack radio (AN/PRC 155), as well as other HMS small form factor radios that will be furnished by the government for integration into dismounted soldier systems and fixed-wing aircraft.
The AIM II module comprises a secure hardware foundation with embedded software-based cryptographic algorithms to protect classified information from use by unauthorized personnel. The new module is also interoperable with today's military and government communications equipment and encryption devices.
General Dynamics C4 Systems has been providing information security technology, products and systems to the U.S. government and military for more than 40 years. With more than 250,000 encryption devices currently used worldwide, General Dynamics information-assurance products secure voice and data communication classified up to, and including, Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information.
