MTV Oy has integrated an InStream solution to streamline high-definition television advertising delivery in 17 Finnish regions.

CANBERRA, Australia – General Dynamics Mediaware announced that MTV Oy, a leading Finnish commercial broadcaster providing entertainment and information via multiple platforms has integrated InStream Splice and InStream Convert into their high-definition (HD) H.264 television service. The InStream MPEG splicing solution allows for the seamless insertion of regionalised advertising material, providing MTV Oy’s advertising partners with the ability to reach new markets, while delivering relevant HD television experiences to its diverse audience across 17 different regions in Finland.

General Dynamics Mediaware has integrated InStream with MTV Oy’s existing automation systems, matching MTV Oy’s existing standard definition (SD) workflows. In addition to supporting Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) subtitles and teletext, all 17 HD channels are spliced on a single commercial off-the-shelf server with embedded storage.
