XR Streamer

TRANSCODING AND DISSEMINATION OF REAL TIME MOTION IMAGERY OVER THE WIDER NETWORK

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Australia's XR Streamer software performs transcoding and dissemination of real time motion imagery over the wider network. It enables unicast and multicast full motion video streams to traverse networks with different bandwidths and reliability. XR Streamer also enables video, audio and metadata sub streams to be reduced in bitrate, format converted, degraded or stripped. This real time modification of live motion imagery may be required to meet downstream compliance constraints or security classifications.

Features

  • Real time transcoding and transrating of ISR motion imagery with metadata
  • Supports multiple output bandwidths simultaneously
  • Auto corrects lossy inputs
  • Disseminates video over bandwidths as low as 64 kb/s
  • Disseminates video to PDAs including Android devices
  • Open and standards compliant (NGA, MSIP and STANAG)
  • Reconfigurable on-the-fly

Benefits

XR Streamer transcodes and transrates real time motion imagery for dissemination. This means target users receive reliable imagery and metadata streams tailored to their specific signal reception and hardware capabilities.

Transrating, format conversion, degrading or stripping of sub streams means real time motion imagery can be modified to meet downstream compliance constraints or security classifications.

XR Streamer is the ideal solution for the flexible, reliable and compact dissemination of motion imagery in bandwidth disadvantaged environments.
