Brian Morrison is vice president and general manager of the Cyber Systems line of business for General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics. He was previously vice president of Marketing for General Dynamics Mission Systems. He joined the company in August 2018, after serving in multiple capacities at General Dynamics’ headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, including as staff vice president for the International department and chief of staff for General Dynamics’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to joining General Dynamics in 2012, Mr. Morrison was a deputy assistant secretary of defense, serving as the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) chief legislative strategist and liaison for matters relating to the U.S. House of Representatives. Before joining the DOD, he spent five years as deputy staff director and general counsel with the U.S. House of Representatives, Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
He previously worked as an assistant general counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency and is admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Morrison received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service in 2013 and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service in 2018. He also served as a military officer in the Iraq War in 2007, earning an Iraq Campaign Medal and a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, among other decorations.
Mr. Morrison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, a law degree from Harvard Law School, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
