Leveraging patented technology and field-proven architecture, all of the critical system components are hot-swappable without the removal of power and can be removed from the front of the chassis with the exception of the fan assembly which is accessible from the rear panel.

Satcom - Modular Block Converters

Block Downconverters (C-Band, X-Band, Ku-Band)

BD Series Block Downconverters are designed to translate a block of C-Band, X-Band, or Ku-Band RF input frequencies to L-Band. These block downconverters have the quality, stability and performance required for demanding receiver applications in today’s diverse satellite communications systems.

Block Upconverters (C-Band, X-Band, Ku-Band)

BU Series Block Upconverters are designed to translate a block of L-Band IF input frequencies to C-Band, X-Band, or Ku-Band. These block upconverters have the quality, stability and performance required for demanding transmitting applications in INTELSAT, EUTELSAT, and other satellite communications systems. When used with Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) the BU-Series converters will shift the SSPA input frequency to L-Band for use with coaxial or fiber optic IFLs.

Redundant Block Converter Systems (C-Band, X-Band, Ku-Band)

Redundant Block Upconverter (BUC) and Downconverter (BDC) systems contain either three converters in a 1:2 redundant configuration or two converters in a 1:1 redundant configuration. The systems include automatic switchover logic, redundant power supplies, and redundant ac line inputs. The systems are designed for installation at satellite earth stations in standard 19-inch EIA equipment racks.
