Sidewinder Vehicle Mount

For On-The-Move SRW Communications

The Sidewinder Vehicle Mount extends the Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) network to the vehicular environment by connecting a handheld radio, such as PRC-154A Rifleman Radio, with a high-power amplifier in a low-cost vehicle mount configuration. In addition to enabling vehicular voice and data communications, the radio can also be quickly removed for dismounted operations without losing connection to the network.

  • Cost-effective solution for single-channel SRW in a vehicle
  • Jerk-and-run capable to support dismount operations
  • Compatible with current vehicular mounting adaptors, computers, data devices, and intercom systems
  • Significant range extension

Features

Compatible with current vehicular mount adaptors, the Sidewinder vehicle mount allows a handheld radio to operate from vehicle power while controlling the power amplifier to extend range and continue network connectivity.

  • Extends range of SRW network with high power amplification
  • Minimizes logistics by plugging in SRW to existing infrastructure
  • Compatible with standard:
    • Vehicle Tray MT-6352/VRC
    • SINCGARS VRC-89, 90, 91 and 92
    • SINCGARS AM-7239 VAA
    • Supports UHF and L-band
  • Continuous battery charge to handheld radio
  • Allows jerk-and-run of radio for dismounted operations
  • Interfaces to vehicle intercom system (VIC, VIS-X)
