On February 20th, General Dynamics Mission Systems is once again hosting a Ground-to-Air Radio Systems User Summit. This one-day event will bring together our community of customers and partners to educate, discuss, and collaborate on the latest in ground-to-air communications.

During the conference, participants will hear from General Dynamics Mission Systems executives, government agency representatives, and system users on ways to improve Air Traffic Management in the National Airspace System as well as Flight Training communication ground infrastructures. Attendees are invited and encouraged to join us immediately following the Summit for drinks and hors d’oevers to celebrate the delivery of the 20,000th CM-300/350 (V2) radio. Mr. Joshua Gustin, Manager, Communication, Information & Network Programs at the Federal Aviation Administration will be the keynote speaker at the celebration.

This is a free event open to government and military personnel, current partners, and customers.

Mr. Eier will present on the benefits of introducing the use of the Remote Tower (rTWR) technology to the National Airspace System for the provision of Air Traffic Services, to include other possible future applications of the technology

1515 - 1545 -  Controlling Airspace with Virtual Reality  
Nick Spirakus, General Dynamics Mission Systems Senior Systems Software Engineer
Mr. Spirakus will provide a live demonstration of a virtual reality prototype created to help air traffic controllers manage controlled airspace from a remote location. An overview of current features and 2020 planned advancements will be shared, including how this prototype is being altered to demonstrate how the system can be used to control airspace over Army test ranges
