Scott Butler is vice president of Manufacturing and Logistics for General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD). He leads an international team of professionals to ensure that manufacturing and logistics operations are efficient and cost-effective, vital factors in delivering value to military, government and commercial customers worldwide.

With game-changing ground, maritime, space and intelligence, cyber, satellite, communication products, General Dynamics Mission Systems is committed to the mission success of every customer. The company formed when General Dynamics combined General Dynamics C4 Systems and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems into a single business entity effective January 1, 2015.

Prior to the transition to General Dynamics Mission Systems, Mr. Butler was vice president of Tactical Computing Solutions for General Dynamics C4 Systems. He managed a team that supported a number of large-scale computing and related programs including Common Hardware/Software (CHS)-3 and the follow-on CHS-4 programs for the U.S. Army. Other programs under his direction included the Theater Deployable Communications and Global Broadcast System for the U.S. Air Force and a number of tactical vehicle programs.

Mr. Butler has worked in positions of increasing responsibility supporting a wide range of U.S. Department of Defense programs. He has a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and is a member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
