Our Long Term Evolution (LTE) V6 eNodeB is a single carrier LTE base station packaged into a compact, rugged, water and dust resistant enclosure. The small size and durability of the eNodeB make it ideal for situations where critical infrastructure is damaged or where network capacity needs to be rapidly expanded or deployed.
About General Dynamics LTE
General Dynamics Mission Systems LTE combines expertise in building and integrating complex communication networks and products with industry leading 3G and 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless broadband to deliver “always on” high-speed access to vital information needed by law enforcement, emergency first responders, government agencies, military personnel and others responsible for public safety and national security.
General Dynamics Mission Systems LTE ensures that information, ranging from real-time video feeds to large image files and other mission-critical data will be available in cluttered urban environments, isolated rural areas and everywhere in between. General Dynamics Mission Systems is committed to introducing state-of-the-art, next generation communications technology.
What Sets Us Apart
The eNodeB contains two radio transceivers for 2x2 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) configurations. The Band Class variants of the eNodeB support 5 MHz and 10 MHz carriers in the bands allocated for public safety applications.
- Affordable/Scalable – The LTE V6 eNodeB combines digital baseband processing and radio circuits in a compact outdoor environmentally hardened enclosure. The space saving design is pole and wall mountable, which reduces the time and cost associated with zoning and installation. Mounting the V6 eNodeB close to the antenna reduces cable loss, and therefore results in improved radio coverage and cost reduction.
- Open Architecture/Interoperable – Allows for user choice when it comes to handhelds. The eNode B is able to connect iOS, Android, or LMR with various applications. The eNode B complies with the global 3GPP LTE standards to ensure interoperability with user equipment.
- Remotely Managed – LTE V6 eNodeB is remotely managed by the Element Management System (EMS). The EMS is responsible for configuration management, remote monitoring and alarm reporting of the V6 eNodeB. The operator connects to the EMS via a web browser which presents a status view of the V6 eNodeB in the network.
- Designed to 3GPP Standards – Each band class variant of the LTE V6 eNodeB operates across the entire 3GPP band class, and supports bandwidths and duplex modes according to the band class definitions. Operators have the flexibility to adjust the carrier bandwidth and center frequency to fit in the available spectrum. Channel specific variants are available for deployment in markets where additional protection against adjacent channel interference is required.
