“It’s great to be a part of a team protecting our nation, providing a service that no other company can provide; and experiencing the brilliance firsthand.”

What’s the best part of having 26 three-day weekends as part of your 9/80 work schedule?
The best part is having the flexibility to volunteer at my son’s elementary school for various activities, specifically the 100 Book Club. I am currently working with my son’s first grade class to help each student achieve the goal of reading100 books by the end of the school year. The program is enriching and the children, including my son, look forward to seeing me at school every other Friday.

Describe your team…What is integral to building a strong team?
As a Program Quality Engineer, I am fortunate to be able to work with many engineering and support specialties; our team consists of electrical, optical, mechanical, hardware, systems and software engineers as well as configuration/data management, quality assurance, network administrators, operators and trainers. Everyone appreciates one another’s specialized area, and collaborates and focuses on delivering a quality product. Overall, it’s great to be a part of a team protecting our nation, providing a service that no other company can provide; and experiencing the brilliance firsthand.

What is special about working here?
There is always an opportunity to continually improve organizational process effectiveness and employees are constantly encouraged to submit money saving operational improvement initiatives.
