Vice President and General Manager, Cyber and Electronic Warfare Systems

Michael Tweed-Kent is vice president and general manager of the Cyber and Electronic Warfare Systems line of business at General Dynamics Mission Systems. In this role, he leads a diverse organization that offers secure products, programs and solutions for military, intelligence and international customers.

Prior to his current role, Tweed-Kent was the senior vice president for Strategy and Business Development where he led the company’s strategic thinking, business capture of top pursuits, marketing, public affairs and corporate relations. From 2001 through 2006, Tweed-Kent was vice president and general manager for the Maritime Digital Systems strategic business unit. Under the leadership of Tweed-Kent, the unit grew in sales. During this time, he was responsible for leading a high technology multi-functional organization of over 800 people. Accomplishments include the deployment of the U.S. Navy’s Trident II Fire Control Modernization program, which involved the delivery of over 1.5 million software lines of code in a successful large-scale application of commercial-off-the-shelf equipment to a shipboard weapon system.
