Chris Marzilli is the president of General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD). He was appointed to his current position in September 2014 after serving as president of General Dynamics C4 Systems for eight years. General Dynamics Mission Systems delivers mission-critical, cyber-secure systems for military and government organizations worldwide. The company formed when General Dynamics combined General Dynamics C4 Systems and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems into a single business entity effective January 1, 2015.
As president of General Dynamics Mission Systems, Mr. Marzilli provides strategic leadership that sets the course for the company’s overall financial and operational success. With an extensive portfolio of technologies, products and systems, General Dynamics Mission Systems solves the complex challenges that face our customers with game-changing ground, maritime, space and intelligence, cyber, satellite, communication products and mission-related capabilities. The company has more than 50 locations worldwide and employs more than 13,000 employees.
As president of General Dynamics C4 Systems, Mr. Marzilli led the company to global prominence as a trusted provider of tactical and public safety command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products and systems used by the U.S. Army and government agencies worldwide.
Mr. Marzilli earned a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College, graduating with honors as a Dana Scholar. He joined GTE in 1981, which was later acquired by General Dynamics in 1999. He proudly sits on several charitable boards, with one in particular, the Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation, serving the needs of the most severely wounded post-9/11 veterans.
