FAIRFAX, Va. - General Dynamics has successfully completed phase one of New Mexico's statewide, Fourth-generation (4G) long-term evolution (LTE) public safety network. The broadband LTE network creates the communications backbone for federal, state and public safety professionals to talk to one another, exchange data and collaborate.

Earlier this year, the General Dynamics broadband LTE network was the communications lifeline for law enforcement and other communications professionals during the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek, Co. General Dynamics is also part of the team that has successfully implemented a broadband LTE network around Denver International Airport and throughout Adams County, Colorado connecting first responders to dispatchers and vital information databases as they coordinate their response to local events.

General Dynamics Mission Systems expertise in designing and implementing public safety 4G LTE networks includes both ground-based, fixed network infrastructure systems and mobile, rapid deployment 4G LTE broadband communication vehicles. The products and technologies used to build these systems are tested and proven to support the standards around the U.S. government's First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet).
